Application                                                                
Total degradation of proteins during the isolation of DNA and RNA; (it is not necessary to let pronase self-digest prior to use). Total hydrolysis of proteins in research and for technical purposes. Tissue dissociation in conjunction with collagenase and trypsin. Production of glycopeptides from purified glycoproteins.                                                        
Product Description
Inhibitors: Complete Protease Inhibitor Cocktail Tablets                  
Optimum pH: 6.0 - 7.5, depending on type of protease activity                        
Specific activity: approx. 7,000 U/g lyophilizate at 40°C with casein as the substrate, pH 7.5. One unit is the enzyme activity that liberates folin-positive amino acids and peptides, corresponding to 1 µmol Tyr in 1 min under assay conditions.                                    
Specificity: Mixture of several nonspecific endo- and exoproteases that generally digest proteins down to single amino acids. Resolves carboxylic acids and alcohols.                            
Working concentration: 0.5 - 2 mg/ml                                              
Contents Lyophilizate, non-sterile                                              
Quality Contaminants: ≤ 0.002 U DNase/RNase per mg lyophilizate
Note: The preparation contains approximately 20% calcium acetate.
